What We Do
At Mac Mic Group, our long experience has forged an enviable reputation as a company you can trust.
As a fourth-generation, family-owned company, Mac Mic Group place a strong emphasis on the importance of traditional family values and developing strong relationships and it is not uncommon for us to work with and support our partners on multiple projects, over many years.
As a property and land company we are committed to supporting local communities and being considerate of the environment we all live in. And this is not simply a tick box exercise for us, or just to keep up with the latest business trends.
These principles run deep in the company and are embedded in our roots and our culture.
Over the years, we have brought forward and moved forward thousands of acres of land through the planning process so landowners can realise the full potential of their property.
With every opportunity, our vastly experienced team work hard to ensure land possibilities successfully realised.
We identify opportunities to unlock land’s potential and then use our expertise and experience to engage local communities and navigate a route through the ever-changing planning processes to the marketplace.
Our track record on delivering positive outcomes for our clients and local communities is one we are proud of and as our reputation as a company that can be trusted grows, so does our extensive portfolio of land as landowners place their faith in Mactaggart & Mickel Group.

Mac Mic Group’s South West Strategic Land team has moved to offices at Aztec West, Bristol as the land and property group looks to further grow its portfolio in the region.
Mac Mic Group has relocated to The Aztec Centre from premises in Cheltenham to draw on Bristol’s status as a hub for the region’s property industry, and benefit from Aztec West’s strategic location, with its excellent transport links.
The move comes as the Group’s South West Strategic Land team looks to invest significantly in its portfolio of strategic land, which already includes 23 sites.
The investment is part of a wider investment plan that will include growing the Group’s total English strategic land revenue by £33m over the next five years.
Our Strategic Land team completed the sale of the last phase of the Shavington Triangle development, near Crewe, this month to Anwyl Homes.
The sale marks a milestone in the team's history as the first site for which planning consent was secured. Outline planning for 400 houses was granted from Cheshire East Council in 2015.
Development of the initial phase of 200 houses sold to Persimmon commenced in 2017, with detailed consent recently granted to Anwyl Homes taking the final number to 450 houses.
Following the sale of its housebuilding business to Springfield Properties in a £46m deal, Mactaggart & Mickel Group embarks on a major investment programme to grow its strategic land business.
The strategic land team has enjoyed considerable success having completed seven deals in the last year. These included the acquisition of a 66-acre site in south-east London, and deals to promote sites in the Chiltern Hills, in Wiltshire and in Worcestershire.
The team has projects covering over 3,300 acres in England and over 2,800 in Scotland. The new investment plan will significantly grow the English strategic land revenue over the next five years.
